With no exact date, "Outlander" season 3 is set to return in September. The series will pick up in Claire's timeline where Jamie is years away while she is pregnant with Briana.

Caitriona Balfe's On Claire's Changes

In the third installment of "Outlander", Caitriona Balfe's character reunites with her first husband, Frank. The former couple decides to live together and co-parent the Briana. However, Claire's love for Frank is long gone and her heart is now with Jamie.

Frank and Claire faces difficulties with their relationship. Claire is now more focused on becoming a doctor and is not interested in any romantic connection which makes it hard for her and to her husband to bring back what they had before she disappears.

According to Bustle, Balfe already hints the changes in Claire's personality and in her character's life. In the previous season, viewers saw a much older Claire in the finale. In season 3, the actress teases a much more emotionally evolve Claire.

"We're looking at a woman that's 20 years older," says Balfe. "So as an actor I really wanted to explore how that makes her different. Like, how has she changed?"

Meanwhile, when asked about the print shop scene, she admits the pressure she is feeling. For starters, the said scene is a very emotional part of "Voyager" not only for Jamie and Claire but also for the fans. Everybody has been waiting for the lovers to see each other again ever since they parted ways.

'Outlander' Season 3: What Happens To Claire In Voyager Timeline

As per the above-mentioned note, in Diana Gabaldon's book "Voyager", Jamie and Claire will once again meet each other in the print shop. Here is the timeline (via Outlanderlists):

In the year 1968, Claire finds out from Roger's findings that Jamie may not have died. Since then, she together with Roger and her daughter Brianna digs out even the smallest things that could prove that Jamie is still alive. When Brianna finds out the truth, Claire asks Joe to take care of her daughter as she will go back to the stone and find Jamie.

In the year 1766, Claire finds herself under a rowan tree. She decides to go to Edinburgh. She roams the streets and makes her way to a printing shop belonging to A. Malcolm. Claire walks in the shop while Jamie is in the back room with his back at the door. He thought that it is Geordie and calls him out, Claire replies with "It's me. Claire".

Jamie stares at his lover as Claire walks closer to him and asks him when he broke his nose. He answers and the latter reaches out and touches his nose. Jamie then whispers, "you're real". He promptly faints but was able to get up.

Claire and Jamie sob at each other's arms and hugs each other. "They are both aware of a strange feeling of shyness and intimacy after twenty years apart. Jamie asks if he can kiss Claire and they share a slow, light kiss."

Based on the reports, the print shop scene is one of the most emotional and yet most anticipated scenes in the upcoming "Outlander" season 3. This is where Claire and Jamie will first meet after twenty years apart.
