Disney's live action adaptation of the classic "Beauty and the Beast" has been highly anticipated for a while now. Starring the iconic Emma Watson, the up and comer Dan Stevens, and the always impressive Luke Evans, the film is shaping up to be something special. Notably, the film will also feature voice talents from legendary actors such as Ian McKellen and Ewan McGregor. The initial trailers and publicity photos have continued to impress, so much so that the advanced ticket sales results have been exponentially positive thus far.

According to Deadline, Disney is looking to make another blockbuster splash at the box office with their latest live-action adaptation of one of its most beloved and timeless stories. Advanced tickets went on sale earlier this week on Monday and the sales have reached the No. 1 spot on online ticket retailer Fandango. Currently, there are numerous movie theaters already sold out for the first-day screening of the movie still a full month away.

As reported by Gamespot, the live action take of the Oscar-nominated 1991 animated classic is showing signs of being a major blockbuster once it is released, almost akin to a new superhero movie. Fandango has been enjoying its highest sales in January since its establishment and the online retailer has called the ticket sales "unstoppable."

Currently, "Beauty and the Beast" is on point to overtake "Finding Dory" in advanced ticket sales, and is worth noting that the Pixar-produced sequel to "Finding Nemo" made an exponential $135 million in its domestic box office opening. Like their previous live action adaptations, Disney looks to continue the trend set by positively received film adaptations such as "The Jungle Book," "Cinderella," and "Alice in Wonderland."

Bill Condon is helming the film as director and is known for directing the final two "Twilight" films as well as the award-winning "Dreamgirls."

In the wake of the tale as old as time, Disney currently has more live-action adaptations of classics in the works; classics such as "Mulan," "The Lion King," and "The Little Mermaid" are all confirmed to be in production. Make sure to catch "Beauty and the Beast" when it releases in theaters on March 17 of this year.
