The night after the Royal Rumble, a furious Samoa Joe finally made his main roster debut when he attacked former WWE champion Seth Rollins at the behest of WWE's chief of operations Triple H. Fans were ecstatic to see the former NXT and TNA champion finally on Monday Night Raw and Samoa Joe certainly did not disappoint. However, fans did not expect what would happen to Seth Rollins after the thrilling encounter.

According to Mirror UK, Rollins injured his right knee this past Monday night during the final segment of the show where he was ambushed by the Samoan Submission Machine. This right knee injury is a recurrence injury, which was, unfortunately, the same injury that kept him sidelined for more than six months. The degree of damage caused by the injury is still uncertain as there is no timeline set for Rollins' return to the ring.

As reported by Comic Book, the WWE superstar and former Money in the Bank winner was devastated to learn that his major injury is still coming back to haunt him. Rollins tweeted on his official Twitter page that he "wish [he] could say that it was just a bad dream." His previous injury involved tearing his ACL and MCL during a match against Kane at a WWE house show event in November of 2015. Rollins had to undergo surgery and extensive rehabilitation to heal his debilitating injury as soon as possible. He would gloomily sit out that year's Wrestlemania and would not return until more than half a year.

Amidst this disappointing development, Rollins continues to remain positive and hopeful that he will return sooner rather than later. The former WWE champion took to Twitter once again to explain how he felt about the situation and let his fans know that everything would be alright.

Seth Rollins explained, "If anything, obstacles exist to help us grow and evolve. This reinjury to my surgically repaired knee is real and a lot is up in the air right now, but one thing remains constant: my resolve. This doesn't end for me until I've reclaimed the throne."
