Rumors are running rampant that Samsung will be introducing a brand-new slate to its already impressive Galaxy Tab lineup; a major follow-up to the Tab S series.

The South Korean tech firm has remained mum regarding the purported device's official release date, however if rumors are anything to go by, the Galaxy Tab S3 will make an appearance sometime in mid-2016, probably by July or August, Tech Radar reported.

What is confirmed though is that the purported Galaxy Tab S-series' slate is already in the works at Samsung.

Earlier this month, highly lauded tipster Evan Blass took to his Twitter handle (@evleaks) to post leaked press render that show Friday July 15 on the screens in the image. This was perhaps an intended unveiling especially taking into consideration that July 15, this year is a Friday, and judging by the release pattern of Samsung, the tablet might just be debuted on that day.

Galaxy Tab S3 - Specs

The purported tablet will be available in two variants: an 8-inch version and a 9.7-inch model. The Galaxy Tab S3 has already debuted on the TENNA website. The 8-inch variant is slated to pack an AMOLED display, paired with an impressive 1536 x 2048 pixels screen resolution, Christian Times reported.

In terms of under the hood specs, the rumored Galaxy Tab S3 will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor clocked at 1.8 GHz. The earlier version of the series boasted an Exynos 5433 CPU clocked at 1.9 GHz. The Qualcomm processor will be coupled with 3 GB RAM.

As far as storage is concerned, the device will come in two storage variants - the 64 GB and 32 GB onboard storage capacities.

Galaxy Tab S3 - Features

The Galaxy Tab S3 will pack a 4,000 mAh battery, an 8-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel front shooter for the selfie addicts. The device will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

Several tech publications have indicated that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 AT&T model may come with LTE compatibility. However, neither Samsung nor AT&T has confirmed this.

Galaxy Tab S3 - Price

There aren't many details about the device's price; however Galaxy Tab fans are hopeful that it will have a price similar to the Galaxy Tab S2.

While rumor mills continue to churn a slew of speculations regarding the purported Galaxy Tab S3, it is recommended to take these rumors with a grain of salt until the popular South Korean smartphone maker confirms them.
