Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Runs Marshmallow 6.0.1 And Not The Rumored Android N; Curved Screen Confirmed?
BySeveral reports doing rounds online hint Samsung is all set to spruce up the upcoming Note with curved edge display and Android Marshmallow, which the South Korean tech firm may later update to Android N following its release.
With the imminent debut of Samsung's Note 6/Note 7, rumor mills have been swirling speculations hinting Samsung has opted for a curved display rather than a flat screen. Speculations hint Samsung was prepping two Note devices to be released this summer. While one of the two smartphones will feature the traditional flat display, the other smartphone will boast curved edges just like the Galaxy Edge smartphones. This move reportedly stems from Samsung's unsurety in terms of which device would sell and therefore it entered testing with both smartphones.
New leaks posted on uSwitch hint that Samsung has opted to give dual-edge display a shot.
In addition, another photo posted by Phone Arena features a phablet outline along with a stylus with a caption that reads, "Write on the edge of something great." The caption clearly hints that Samsung's Galaxy Note 6 will boast curve edge screen.
Rumor mills have churned speculations hinting that the popular South Korean smartphone maker will leave out the Galaxy Note 6 title and directly jump to Note 7 in order to have the upcoming device in line with the looming Galaxy S7 smartphones.
Another exciting feature that has got the Samsung Note fans go berserk; is the unveiling on Android N OS on the purported Galaxy Note 6.
That said, several tech publication have ruled out the possibility of the new Note device running Google's yet-to-be-released operating system, Android N. In fact, speculations are suggesting that the device would run a pre-installed Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 and not the rumored Android N.
While this may look like the upcoming Note 6 is already falling short of expectations, there are an array of other reasons why the device would emerge as a hit among Samsung Note fans.
The device's one-of-a-kind dual-edge display is sure to grab the attention of gadget gurus and Samsung Note fanatics. As far as the device's internal hardware specs are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is designed to run without any lag as it packs a Qualcomm's Snapdragon 823 SoC chipset, backed with a 6GB RAM.
Samsung Galaxy Note 6/Note 7 will feature a mammoth 5.8 inches super AMOLED display, a screen resolution of 1440 pixels x 2560 pixels, and an in-built 12 MP rear camera.
Galaxy Note 6/Note 7 is slated to hit the shelves on August this year.
