OnePlus recently announced and unveiled the OnePlus 3, a midrange handset that's designed to out perform rest of the smartphones in its class. The Chinese smartphone maker believes this device is all set to lock horns with the best in the market right now.

The company decided to do away with the sandstone body that characterised OnePlus 3's predecessors, but followed the trend set by all flagships released this year and augmented OnePlus 3 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 2.15 Ghz, and couples this with 6 GB RAM.

Aside from OnePlus 3, not too many flagships boast 6 GB RAM. This places the device in the league of LeEco Le Max 2, which was recently launched in India. OnePlus 3 will compete with a slew of other top-notch smartphones including LG G5 and Samsung Galaxy S7, and in India, it will directly compete with Xiaomi's Mi 5 and LeEco Le Max 2.

Designed by tech addicts, the OnePlus 3 is geared up to go toe-to-toe with the best smartphones in the market today, the company claims - and to back that boast, OnePlus not only rides itself of its invite system but also added free shipping, aside from releasing the OnePlus 3, TechTimes reported.

OnePlus 3 Vs Samsung Galaxy S7 - Let's take a look at how the OnePlus 3 stacks up against the Samsung Galaxy S7 in terms of specs, feature et cetera.

OnePlus 3

The first thing that grabs your attention is the absence of sandstone body that defined the OnePlus One and OnePlus 2. The new flagship smartphone now sports a metal unibody design instead, and looks more elegant as compared to the device's predecessors. OnePlus features a square camera module in the back, paired with the LED flash. A notifications toggle button is placed on the side of the smartphone.

However, the device seems to mirror the cosmetic appearance of an HTC phone, as well as some other models that have recently debuted.

In terms of camera, OnePlus 3 sports a 16-megapixel rear camera and eight megapixel front shooter. The best feature of OnePlus 3 is its camera. But that's hardly surprising considering that OnePlus has always done an excellent job with its camera - and no prizes for guessing, the OnePlus 3 takes it to a whole new level. If the details available on this smartphone are anything to go by, OnePlus 3 is in the class of LG G5 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge, Indian Express reported.

Taking into consideration the fact that it will cost nearly half of its challengers, the OnePlus 3 boasts the best Android camera.

Other features include a 5.5-inch Full-HD Optic Amoled display secured by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The device also features a fingerprint sensor. It packs a 3,000 mAh battery. It will come with a dual-SIM 4G support.

The 5.1-inch smartphone is built with metal and 3D glass. The IP68 water and dust resistant, Samsung Galaxy S7 boasts an Always-On Display.'

The device runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and packs 4 GB RAM and will be available in two variants: 32 GB and 64 GB. The S7 series marks the return of micro-SD slots which enable users to expand the phone's space capacity up to 200 GB.
