Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will have all the dreamed specs in tow but a recent report reveals what could be the biggest disadvantage of the smartphone.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Specifications
The second generation of Mi Mix will get a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a fingerprint scanner placed at its rear panel. There will be a dual-camera module for the back shooter - a 16 MP sensor each, with OIS and laser auto focus, reports claim.
Xiaomi will equip Mi Mix 2 with a Snapdragon 835 chip, a whopping 6 GB of RAM and a huge 128 GB of inbuilt storage. The most radical feature would be the display, it is said to have 93 percent screen-to-body ratio, according to BGR. That makes the handset nearly bezel-less.
A Bezel-Less Display has A Major Drawback
It's exciting to find out how the first edgeless display would look like, but a smartphone with a super-thin bezel may bring more problems than not.
Imagine if our fingers are in contact with the display - a sensitive touch screen that will register the input. The current smartphones with large bezels, has a lot of advantages to make typing on the screen more practical with less accident, Phone Arena reported.
Bezels are needed for user to have more grip, hold their phone or hand it off to another person without inputting an order we don't intend to. Users in Android Central forum have split opinion over what's the best size for a smartphone's bezels. Most of them prefer big bezels that would add more protection to the phone although a small bezel is aesthetically pleasing.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Global Launch
The first series was not sold for global consumers as Xiaomi manufactured a limited quantity of Mi Mix, Android Authority reported. The Mi Mix 2, however, could be prepared for a wider audience outside China, due to the high demands.
