After sold out in 10 minutes on its first sale, Redmi Note 4 is available for purchase again today. The nicely built device is a budget phone with features similar to Moto G4 Plus. However, there are a few things that make the latter is a better value.

RAM and ROM

Moto G4 Plus is offered in three variants: 2GB RAM-16GB, 32GB-3GB, and 64GB-4GB. On the other hand, Redmi Note 4 is sold in two models; the standard edition packs 16GB-2GB RAM whilst the higher edition packs 64GB-3GB RAM.

Camera

The optics department in Redmi Note 4 pairs 13 MP and 5 MP sensor. Standard features include PDAF, dual LED flash plus beautifying mode.

Lenovo equips Moto G4 Plus with better sensor as it comes woth 16 MP rear camera and 5 MP selfie shooter. There are more features such as laser autofocus and auto-HDR.

Battery

The Redmi Note 4 comes with a massive battery of 4,100 mAh but apparently it lacks of fast-charging feature, according to Gizbot.

Moto G4 Plus gets lower battery capacity of 3,000 mAh but users can take the advantage of its rapid charging feature.

Fingerprint sensor

Moto G4 Plus biometric scanner has been compared to the one on iPhone 6S Plus and the result is surprising as Motorola's handset comes as the winner.

The fingerprint sensor in Moto G4 Plus is located at the front whilst Redmi Note 4 has it on the back panel. This matter comes down to personal preference.

Android Marshmallow OS

Both, Redmi Note 4 and Moto G4 Plus run Android Marshmallow out of the box but the G4 Plus already tastes the Nougat, according to Tech Radar. The drawback of Android in Xiaomi smartphones is that it's received tweaks. For those who are looking for pure Android bloatware-free experience can opt for G4 Plus.
