"Blindspot" season 2 will see a big finale twist and a possible Jane, Kurt reunion. However, will it come before the show gets canceled? Though there is no news about the series' possible fate, a report analyzes whether the show will get axed or renewed.

Cancellation Could Happen Anytime, Here's Why

No news has been claiming that "Blindspot" series will be canceled. However, the fate of the show is still in question. Though it has a solid fanbase, everybody knows how unpredictable some networks are. The cancellation could be based on the story has nowhere else to go or mostly because the ratings are way behind what they expected it to be.

According to TV Line, "Blindspot" is in bubbles. There is a possibility that it will return for a third season and there is also a possibility that it will be canceled.

In the site's note, the chances for its cancellation is due to its storyline. In its first season, the show has a solid plot. However, in "Blindspot" season 2, it seems like as the story progresses the arc of the show increasingly becomes more "difficult to follow".

As for its chances to get renewed, the story has other things to offer. As per the aforementioned source, Jane's mystery and compelling twist make the viewers crave for more episodes. With unexpected deaths to new plots to offer, there is still a way to keep the series going and besides, there might be a "story that hasn't yet been told" which could come in the renewal.

Season 3 Possible Plot Comes After 'That' Big Twist

Showrunner Martin Gero teases the big twist in the season finale. The creator hints something fun yet explosive season 2.

In his previous interview with TV Guide, if the series gets a season 3 go signal, it might focus on that big twist Gero has been teasing in his chat with the site. The showrunner spoils that this part of "Blindspot" season 2 sets up the third installment.

"... we have a twist ending that I hope ... I think there's a lot of fun to be had, even if you're a casual viewer of Blindspot," says Gero. "we're able to turn more cards than we ever have before."

On the other hand, the same site also had a chance to interview Jaimie Alexander (Jane Doe). When asked about the possibility that her character rekindles her romance with Kurt, the actress refuses to give in detail information but she noted: "all good relationships take time to build, we're working on it."
