"Vikings" season 5 premiere spoilers hint major changes to Ivar to his brothers' life. Adding on, another character is set to be the latter's adversary in the fifth installment.

Creator Reveals Detail: What We Gather So Far About Ivar The Boneless

"Vikings" season 4 finale was a shocker to everybody. Ivar the Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen) kills Sigurd "Snake in the Eyes" (David Lindström) by throwing an ax when he lost his temper. This causes a big impact to his other brothers who will then decide to take their separate ways and split up in camps.

When asked about what might happen to Ragnar Lothbrok's (Travis Fimmel) sons, executive producer Michael Hirst reveals to Entertainment Weekly that this coming season, the brothers will battle against each other. This is Vikings and Vikings is all about power and fame.

With this note from Hirst, it seems like "Vikings" season 5 would definitely be the battle of the fittest. Being a child and especially a successor of Ragnar is the biggest privilege a Viking could have, this alone will lead the remaining brothers to fight against each other to get the throne.

Meanwhile, when it comes to probably one of the most well-known Vikings, Ivar, Hirst did not hesitate to describe the character. He reveals his fascination with the character.

"We know that he's unpredictable. We know that he's lucky to be alive," says Hirst. "Ivar is an angry person, but because he can't use his legs, he uses his head, and his intelligence is developed."

Creator Reveals Detail: What We Gather So Far About Heahmund

Based on what we gathered, one of the newest addition to "Vikings" is Jonathan Rhys Meyers. The actor will play a role of a very important historical figure, Heahmund. He is known as a warrior Bishop.

Hirst reveals that in the height of Ragnar's sons' victory, he needed someone, Saxon warrior, who could match the army and the Vikings. Meyers character would be this person. Heahmund together with his church people will stand against the Vikings. They are warriors who are skilled in fighting and protecting the church and who are ready to die for their faith.

On the other hand, when asked about the fate of Ivar and Heahmund in "Vikings" season 5, Hirst reveals something big to Rotten Tomatoes; these two characters will soon meet each other face to face. He noted that the warrior Bishop is destined to cross path with Ivar.

"There are elements to Ivar that are similar: the conflicted person, the fundamentalist," says Hirst. "I think you just feel that there is something inevitable about those two characters coming together, which they will."
