Nintendo Switch Release Date, Specs, News: What To Expect From Nintendo Switch; ‘Derby Stallion’ Considered For Switch? [VIDEO]
ByThe hybrid video game console, Nintendo Switch, is not due to roll out until March 2017. Nonetheless, ever since the Japanese tech giant gave everyone a first look at the upcoming gaming system a month ago, game enthusiasts are intrigued and excited to know more about the details of Nintendo Switch.
The latest update about Nintendo's upcoming gaming system is suggesting that the Nintendo Switch will come along with a USB-C port. Although, the Japanese video game company has yet to announce the official specs of the hybrid video game device. In spite of that, a listing on EB Games Australia appeared and it somehow confirms that Nintendo Switch will be packed with a USB-C charging cable for super-fast charging, according to My Nintendo News.
EB Games Australia, a video game retailer, reportedly listed the USB-C charging cable for the Nintendo Switch as an accessory. EB Games made it known that USB-A to USB-C Charging Cable is compatible with the Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, the video game retailer's listing has been removed from the site as of press time.
The use of USB Type C of the Nintendo Switch could indicate that Nintendo is following the trend that other tech giants are also embracing. Wherein, Apple Inc. is making a practical use of USB-C for its MacBook and MacBook Pro, while Google has packed the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones with the USB-C port, Gadgets 360 has learned.
The USB-C inclusion would be great for the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch. However, it is still possible for the gaming system to be released with different specs.
On the other hand, the horse-racing video game "Derby Stallion" may not be the most recognizable gaming franchise in the market, in spite of that, the horse-racing series has a chance of reaching another Nintendo platform. Game developer Parity Bit is looking over the possibility of bringing the video game series to Switch, Toyo Keizai reported.
