Drake and Rihanna have been treading the fine "are they or aren't they" line in the last few years. The "Hotline Bling" singer broke his silence on their rumored romance at the 2016 MTV VMAs, where he professed his love for the Barbados-born singer. But just weeks after they went public, rumor has it that the couple is no more.

A source said the Rihanna and Drake are seeing other people and are not exclusively dating anymore. Their busy schedules factored into the split, although the source confirmed that "they still love each other," E! News reported.

However, the source explained that they didn't break up because they never technically dated. "Everyone wants them to be together but they are just close friends who are always in each others lives," the source shared.

Following the reports, Rihanna posted a cryptic message on her Instagram, which read, "None of my exs are married or in happy relationships so it's safe to say that I wasn't da problem lol."

Shortly after the break up news, Drake was rumored to be seeing reality star India Love. A source revealed that they've been "hooking up for at least a few weeks." Interestingly, India previously dated Cliff Dixon, who cheated on her with Rihanna.

Drake and India Love were recently spotted at the Toronto Blue Jays baseball game, where an onlooker described them as "very coupley."

More recently, Rihanna was a no-show at Drake's 30th birthday party at Delilah in Los Angeles. A source revealed that while the "Work" singer wanted to come and celebrate Drake's birthday with him, pride got in the way.

"She's still mad at him for many reasons, mainly because he's such jerk who won't commit and wants everything his way," the source revealed. The source added that the former lovers are still talking and that they'd made plans to celebrate together, but RiRi apparently has some hard feelings about how the relationship went down.

As for Drake's birthday celebration, he posted on Instagram that he woke up to see "the most beautiful woman" ever, E! News wrote. It's not Rihanna, but "Smooth Operator" singer Sade, who gave Drake a handwritten birthday note.
