Anna Camp is confirmed to reprise her role as Aubrey Posen in "Pitch Perfect 3," sources said. The actress herself made the announcement on Twitter, in which she posted a photo of her character and captioned it, "It's official. She's baaaaaaaaack...!"

Camp was an original cast member in "Pitch Perfect" together with Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow and Rebel Wilson, all of whom have signed up for the for the third installment of the musical comedy, EW reported. Hailee Steinfeld will also make her return as the rookie Barden Bellas member.

For "Pitch Perfect 3," Elizabeth Banks will also return as commentator Gail Abernathy-McKadden. She was initially set to direct the third film, but is vacating the director's chair in favor of Trish Sie. Sie directed "Step Up All In" and did the choreography for Ok Go's "Upside Down & Inside Out" and "Here it Goes Again." The script is written by Kay Cannon.

Adam Devine, on the other hand, may or may not take part in the movie. "I don't even know if I'm going to be in it. They didn't have me sign on," the 32-year-old actor told LA Times. "I love doing those movies. It's so much fun. Schedule permitting, I would love to do it."

The plot for "Pitch Perfect 3" remains under wraps, except for one small detail: it might come out on Christmas. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal revealed a possible tagline for the movie, which is "Get ready to have a Merry Pitchmas."

The three-year gap between the first two films puts Beca, Fat Amy and super senior Chloe in their last year in college. Steinfeld's character, Emily, was the lone freshman Bella and is expected to carry on the name of the group. For the third movie, there's still a lot that's left to be said about what the seniors are planning for their last year in college, and whether Emily is being groomed to lead the new generation of Bellas.

"Pitch Perfect 2" scored 287.5 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing movie-musical opening of all time when it came out in May 2015. "Pitch Perfect 3" is being scheduled for a Dec. 22, 2017 release date.
