Google-Centric Pixel Phones
Google has introduced Pixel and Pixel smartphones during the Oct. 4 event in San Francisco. The phones has become the highlight of the activities due to the never-before seen features and new technologies embedded in the newly launched phones.
The Android 7.1 Nougat-operated Google Pixel phones comes in two models - the 5-inch and 5.5-inch - which both feature an AMOLED screen display and fingerprint sensor located at the back of the phone. In addition, a Siri-like called Alexa is added that made them the first phones with built-in Google voice assistant, according to Google blog.
When it comes to camera specs, Google Pixel phones are considered as the highest rated smartphone camera with a score of 89 DxOMark, which is higher than Apple iPhone 7. With 12MP rear camera resolution, Pixel phones can capture brilliant photos in any light including low and bright. It comes with unlimited cloud storage where subscribers can stock the original captured photos.
Productivity-Focused Surface Phone
Three different models of Surface Phones are expected to be announced during the Oct. 26 event of Microsoft, with the following memory and storage specifications: 4GB RAM/32GB storage, 6GB RAM/128GB storage and 8GB RAM/500GB storage. According to The Country Caller, the upcoming devices will feature a 5.7-inch AMOLED display which competes with the best displays available in the market today.
Surface phones are expected to run the pre-installed operating system Windows 10 Redstone, coupled with Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processing chipsets that will boost the performance. In addition, camera specs will include an impressive 21MP for the rear and 8MP for the front-face that is likely to beat the Pixel phones.
Another unique feature of Surface Phone is the support for Win32 apps for Windows programs that run by people in PCs - an edge over Pixel phones and iPhones. Microsoft Surface Phone will be released in 2017.
