It is no secret that last season's finale of the highly-popular CW DC show, "The Flash" sparked a lot of questions, rumors and speculations among viewers and fans of the DC TV Universe. Arguably one of the most popular DC comics storyline to date,

Flashpoint was a major turning point for the continuity of DC's superhero and villain roster. Some may say that it was course correction for the confusion brought about by the conflicting storylines by DC's many writers. So is this the same reason that they brought the Flashpoint arc to the DC TV-verse? A majority of the fans are now asking how this would affect the other shows - especially since Supergirl season 2 has now moved to the CW.

The CW DC shows are well-known for their crossover episodes. More often than not, this is the part of a season that they are more likely to look forward to. With the addition of shows like Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl, crossover episodes may become crowded, so we won't know for sure who will make the cut in these kinds of episodes, but one thing has remain intact - an event in one show could have an effect on another.

There is no question that Barry Allen and Oliver Queen exist in the same Earth, and that helping each other is just a bridge away, we often see characters from The Flash and Arrow give reference to each other. There is a certain sense of closeness within the two shows makes their existence in one TV universe appealing and cohesive. With the fate of their cities so closely intertwined, the butterfly effect of Barry's time travel could be influencial to both of the shows timeline.

When Arrow lead, Stephen Amell was originally asked whether The Flash's season 2 finale cliffhanger would affect DC's entire television universe, Amell said that the Flash's latest time travel exploit would probably be a non-factor for Arrow's season 5, saying that the series will likely go back to basics. Last month, in an interview the Canadian actor stated that, "Arrow is at its best when we're dealing with problems in Star City," and forcefully stated that the show would return to its more grounded roots. But now it looks as though Arrow's' lead star has changed his opinion regarding the matter.

The People's Choice Awards' official Twitter account has quoted Canadian actor Stephen Amell as answering "sure" when asked whether the Flashpoint storyline would have a direct effect on the Arrow timeline and story arcs. In addition, according to Screen Rant, the tweet quotes Amell as stating, "you bet," in response to the followup question: "majorly?"

The Season 5 of Arrow is set to be back on air on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 8PM ET. While The Flash season 3 is schedule to be back on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 8PM ET.
