Grant Gustin recently posted on twitter that the first episode of Season 3 of The Flash will be titled, "Flashpoint," and fans went crazy, but in a good way.

But as with all comic book stories being portrayed on the small screen, fans can expect that there will be characters of the Flashpoint storyline that won't make the cut. The storyline of Flashpoint in general will have to be shown much different than it was in the comics.

Since the beginning of the CW's DC TV series run, fans of the shows have done speculations as to which of their favorite DC heroes and villains will be part of their running superhero tv series. Some were right on the money, while others are saying, "Why isn't she or he a part of it?"

Gustin also tweeted that he has been informed that there will be a big baddie in season 3, but it will not be a metahuman. It's an interesting tidbit, as there are some formidabble non-metahuman opponents that The Flash can clash with.

Here are some non-metahuman villains that could be in The Flash Season 3, according to MoviePilot:

Captain Cold

For those following the other CW DC TV series, Leonard Snart AKA Captain Cold has died near the end of Legends of Tomorrow Season 1. Captain Cold has been a major player within The Flash's rogues gallery, and probably among the popular ones in the CW show. Wentworth Miller's portrayal of the cold and calculating thief-turned-anti-hero has been well-received by most viewers, and his death was unforeseen by many; but is he really dead? There are news that Miller is now set to be a series regular in both The Flash Season 3 and Legends of Tomorrow Season 2. Does flashpoint have anything to do with his revival?

Trickster
Mark Hamill's portrayal of the villain, Trickster had DC fans jumping for joy when he was seen in an episode on season 1, and on a holiday episode in season 2. With the 2 episodes he's in, we haven't seen much of this classic villain. Hamill's portrayal can be described as a toned down version of Batman's foil, The Joker which Hamill has been known to do voice work for in the Batman Animated Series and other DC multimedia incarnations.

An Alien Threat

With the Supergirl moving to the CW, it has been announced that crosssover episodes will be done for The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl. So, if the major villain in The Flash is not a metahuman, there is a chance that it can be of an alien origin. While it is still unclear as to how Barry's actions in last season's finale will affect the other 3 shows, Berlanti and Kreisberg may use it as a plot device to include Supergirl into The Flash's Earth.

Supergirl has delved into the realm of extraterrestrial in more than just a few occasions, so having crossovers involving villains from beyond the stars is a possibility.

A New Villain

In some recent reports, actor Tom Felton, known for portraying Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movie frachise has been signed on to play the role of Julian Dorn who is a CSI at the Central City Police department. This is a mystery to many fans, as there is no one named Julian Dorn in the DC Universe. Could he be the non-metahuman villain that Gustin was alluding to? Fans have also speculated that Felton will be playing the role of Godspeed, a new villain in The Flash comics series, and was introduced in "DC Rebirth."

Meanwhile, CW announced that "The Flash" has cast one of the "Harry Potter" stars, Tom Felton (known for his role as Draco Malfoy), in a series regular role for Season 3, TVLine reported.
