The highly-anticipated "Halo Wars 2" received an all-new cinematic trailer at RTX 2016, and though it does not delve into any new gameplay, the new trailer sets the table for an imminent RTS showdown between humanity and a bunch of irate aliens.

The cinematic trailer offers a sneak peek at some very awe-inspiring visuals as well as fight sequences while teasing at the story.

The human side of the battle is represented by the team of the Spirit of Fire, which has been awakened after almost 30 years of cryosleep. However, as anticipated, they are not welcomed back by their UNSC kin, but by the Banished - which is a kind of post-Covenant splinter gang that is enraged about how the universe is changing, PC Gamer reported.

In related news, Halo 5's Forge browser on Windows 10 is slated to receive a radical overhaul.

The game's official "Halo" Twitter unveiled an image for the revived content browser and how it will facilitate finding Forge creations. Although it's limited to Windows 10 currently, fans can expect to see it roll out for Xbox One soon, GamingBolt reported.

"Halo 5" has offered some really impressive Forge creations till date, including Halo versions of Star Wars podracing and Quidditch, so it would be very exciting to see what PC players come up with.

The Forge tools will be available for free on PC, while players on Xbox One will need to purchase them.

"Halo 5: Guardians" was recently beefed up with Warzone Firefight, a reversion to the ancient Firefight mode from "Halo 3: ODST," however this time with bosses, REQs and time-based rounds.

Fans can play "Halo 5" for Xbox Live Gold till Tuesday, July 5 for free.

However, those waiting for the upcoming title with bated breath are in for a really long wait as the much-awaited RTS (real-time strategy) video game is slated to hit the shelves on February 21, 2017.
