If the recently surfaced alleged Samsung patents are anything to go by, the Galaxy Note 7 may feature a different home button.

The new USPTO patents suggest that the South Korean tech firm is considering options to incorporate the fingerprint scanner-embedded home button on the front of the next Note model with a new square shape, Patently Mobile reported.

Another patent hint Samsung might opt to place the fingerprint scanner on the back of the smartphone.

The leaked patent documents that divulge how Samsung intends to incorporate the iris-scanner technology on its devices, further cements these claims.

According to Samsung's patent notes, the iris recognition system may spawn an image signal by picking up images of the face and eyes of the smartphone user which are in line of sight for the iris recognition system.

In numerous representations, the iris recognition system utilizes three lenses in order to capture the image signal, and then checks the iris of the user on the basis of the generated image as well as other information.

A recently leaked video via (via HDblog) claims to shed light on the new TouchWiz UX slated to debut with the Galaxy Note 7. The video hints the new TouchWiz 'Grace' UX will feature a new notification panel, overhauled settings menu, brand-new colors along with a slew of latest customization options.

A South Korean daily newspaper, Munhwa Ilbo had recently published a report hinting Samsung will skip the launch of standard screen model (flat screen) and the only version that will see the light of the day is the curved, Edge screen.

Samsung has remained mum regarding these rumors and has neither denied or confirmed them. Until Samsung gives these speculation a nod, its recommended to take them with a grain of salt.
