Apple has set a date for their annual fall event, where they will unveil their new iPhones, iPads, and an upgraded Apple TV device.

Citing unnamed sources, BuzzFeed News learned Apple will hold the event the same day as last year: Sept. 9. However, the website stated the event was to take place the week of Sept. 7 and the 9th was the "most likely date."

BuzzFeed also learned about some of the devices Apple plans to show off, such as a new Apple TV device. It will certainly not be the focal point of the event, as the new iPhones typically are, and Apple keeps its plans under wraps until show time in order to allow themselves the freedom to call an 11th-hour audible.

Another anticipated non-iPhone will be the iPad. BuzzFeed stated the 12.9-inch tablet, rumored to be called the "iPad Pro," is a "wildcard" for the Sept. event.

The iPhone expected to be unveiled is the 6S and 6S Plus, and the upgrade has been previously called the most significant "S" upgrade in the companies history. As Fox News noted, consumers can expect a Force Touch screen, allowing for pressure-sensitive commands.

Apple could also be ready to drop the 16GB capacity iPhone, saving it for an eventual release of the budget option, the iPhone 6C. The capacity increase could be related to performance, Fox News reported, as more memory coupled with a more powerful processor could help with all the added capabilities.

The new iPhone is also expected to come with a 12-megapixel camera, which would be the first time Apple increased the iPhone's megapixels since the 4S' release.
