The latest patch of the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is now available. BioWare rolled out the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" update 1.08, which expands Scott Ryder's romance options, fixes bugs, adds new character creator options and more.

One of the two main protagonists of the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" video game, Scott Ryder, can now romance the native of the Andromeda galaxy, Jaal. BioWare made it known that Jaal is the first male squadmate that Ryder can become romantic with. Also, the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" update 1.08 addresses one of the romance-themed achievements of Andromeda. BioWare hopes that the relationship between Jaal and Scott Ryder in "Mass Effect: Andromeda" would be fulfilling and memorable.

The video game developer explained in a blog post that Ryder did not have a male squadmate available as a romance option. Also, the completion of three romances can be achieved with only same-sex partner.

Nevertheless, the video game developer also made it known that they understand that the orientation of the character is an important part of what makes them feel real. The character's relationships with their crew are some of the most loved parts of BioWare's games, so the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" developer wanted to make sure they got it right.

Wherein, the BioWare consulted with LGBTQ members, both externally and within their own studios. After BioWare considered all the feedbacks, the studio decided that it was an essential change to make, PC Gamer reported.

In spite of that, the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" update 1.08 also include improved clarity of descriptions for augmentations, Beam Emitter augmentation now causes guns to fire a constant beam, experimental support for Dolby Vision technology. The update also fixed issue where ammo pick-up audio incorrectly played, prevented melee attacks if the revive icon was near center screen, Backlash could malfunction while moving, weight reduction modifications would not reduce weight, and enemies would occasionally enter T-pose when hit.
