Nonetheless, reports are claiming that the tech giant is developing not only a new hardware, but a new operating system in preparation for Microsoft's smartphone industry comeback.
Although the Redmond, Washington based tech company has not confirmed Surface Phone's existence, Microsoft's upcoming handset is one of the most talked-about mobile phones. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella stated that its upcoming Surface Phone will not look like the usual mobile devices in the market.
Recently surfaced reports are claiming that Microsoft is not only developing a new hardware for its smartphone industry re-entry. The tech giant is reportedly working on a new operating system (OS) to go with its new mobile product, Tech Radar reported.
Nevertheless, the Microsoft Surface Phone is said to be designed for corporate and business users. Microsoft's highly anticipated Surface Phone is expected to arrive with top-class productivity as well as security tools, Learn Bonds reported.
Microsoft is expected to roll out three Surface Phone models. The base model of the Surface Phone features a 4GB of RAM and a 64GB of internal storage, while the high-end Surface Phone will be up for grabs with a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. However, all of the three variants of the Microsoft Surface Phone will come along with a 20MP rear camera.
Tech fans and experts are expecting the Microsoft Surface Phone to be equipped with Intel's Kaby Lake chip. But, some reports suggest that the Surface Phone will arrive with Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor.
The Microsoft Surface Phone is said to give the Google Pixel, Apple iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 a run for their money. That being said, Microsoft's upcoming Surface Phone may finally arrive with the Xbox Project Scorpio gaming console around this year's Holiday season.
