Xiaomi Mi 6 will debut April 28 on Xiaomi official store. Apparently, the $362 smartphone will not be available in the US.

It seems that Xiaomi is readying Mi 6 for global launch as the company reportedly hopes for US launch within two years. The company's Senior VP, Wang Xiang said that Xiaomi is not in a hurry but it looks like the Chinese phone maker is ambitiously aiming at international market with the release of its premium flagship.

Xiaomi Mi 6 is a Snapdragon 835-powered handset that gets a fingerprint sensor under the glass. Xiaomi squeezed powerful hardware choices that it has to omit the 3.5 mm headphone jack to make room for the others. Additionally, the camera front packs dual lens, 12 MP rear shooter with OIS 4-axis and dual LED flash, CNET reported.

Unfortunately, Xiaomi Mi 6 is not water or dust resistant. It is a pity that such a powerful device lacks an important feature. Nonetheless, the Mi 6 will most likely be particularly useful for consumers who seeking a sleek and functional smartphone with a budget.

Xiaomi Mi 6 is equipped with 6 GB RAM and two storage versions, 64 and 128 GB. By ditching the headphone jack, Xiaomi is able to ship the handset with 3,350 mAh battery and fast charging feature, Tech Radar reported.

Removing the jack is considered as a daring decision according to tech experts. Let's not forget what happened with LeEco which applied the same strategy and failed. Xiaomi's bold move might be following Apple's path but most of Xiaomi's markets are not typically buying smartphone accessories like Bluetooth headsets.

On its global launch, Xiang said that Xiaomi is not in a hurry to expand to the US and Europe but making careful steps to make a perfect opportunity. That said, fans of Xiaomi Mi 6 in both continents might have to wait a little longer than of those in India and other Asian regions.
