Square Enix brings the exhilirating world of Eos to mobile with the new "Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire" initially available in New Zealand. Fans of the insanely popular game eagerly await the add-on content of Ardyn Izunia and a multiplayer expansion coming soon in beta.

Mobile gaming has been a lucrative platform for many developers and Square Enix wants a part of this market. "Final Fantasy XV" is already on the console and PC and now a new installment is on Android and iOS devices. The "Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire" is on a soft launch in mobile, but only for residents of New Zealand. There is no official word yet of a global launch.

The "Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire" will be a familiar territory for those who have played the main game on the PlayStation 4. The same characters will be in the new mobile game like Noctis, Ignis, Gladiolus, Prompto and Cindy. However, the new title deviates from the RPG style that the game is known for.

Square Enix is trying out a new formula with the mobile version of "Final Fantasy XV" that resembles a strategy game. Players will be building cities with unique edifices that will be venues for the research of new technologies as well as means to upgrade for troops and heroes. The game will also feature a combat system where players can select specially-themed gears, skills, and gems, Android Community reported.

Meanwhile, the "Final Fantasy XV" soundtrack is still on sale up to April 18. Players can get two albums including the soundtrack of the main game and the "Kingsglaive" movie for only $2 or $0.99 each. However, the purchase is only for a limited time for these will expire on June 18.

Players are also highly anticipating official announcements from Square Enix regarding a previously teased add-on content for an important side character Ardyn Izunia. "Final Fantasy XV" director Hajime Tabata in speaking with Game Legends already revealed their plans for providing a backstory for Ardyn and a multiplayer expansion that may come in the beta version first, IGN reported.
