Hailed as the best consumer electronic brand in China, Huawei is keen on climbing towards the peak of smartphone ecosystem through their latest flagship smartphones. One wrong move from Apple and Samsung is an opportunity for Huawei P10 and P10 Plus to reach over 10 million of handsets sold worldwide.
Huawei P10 and P10 Plus Most Notable Specs and Features
There must be some valid reasons why Huawei was declared as the best consumer electronic brand in China and some of these are evident on their latest flagship[ smartphones P10 and P10 Plus. According to BGR, the two smartphones that were revealed in Barcelona, Spain during the MWC 2017 have given LG G6 a run for its money.
Huawei P10 and P10 Plus have features and specs that are beyond impressive. To start with, the smartphones are made of metal and glass which made them outstanding choices for future flagship smartphones.
The two devices are both powered by Kirin 960 processor which is proven powerful through benchmark scores; however, Huawei P10 features a 5.1-inch display with 1080p resolution, 4GB of RAM, 64GB storage and 3200 mAh battery, while P10 Plus on the other hand sports a 5.5-inch WQHD display, 6GB of RAM, 128GB storage and 3750 mAh battery.
Both handsets feature a Leica-branded dual-lens rear camera with 20MP monochrome sensor and 12MP main sensor but the Plus variant's camera exhibits a wider aperture. What's more interesting is the camera has adopted Apple iPhone 7's Portrait Mode feature which is also found in DSLR.
Huawei P10 and P10 Plus Sales Target Over 10 Million Units
Since Huawei P9 and P9 Plus have managed to sell over 12 million units to date, the successors are also expected to hit the target with over 10 million units sold. According to Android Headlines, Huawei P10 and P10 Plus are currently the most powerful Huawei-branded smartphones in the market; thus, reaching the 10 million mark is not possible.
However, there are factors that could possibly hinder the goal in which higher price point is one of those. Hardware configurations of the two phones have justified their position in the flagship category but the costs are not budget-friendly at all where P10 costs $550 and P10 Plus costs $811.
