The Redmond, Washington based tech giant has already activated the pre-order page for its powerful gaming console, the Xbox Project Scorpio, according to Mirror. The pre-order page has revealed some relevant features lined up to be equipped with Microsoft's upcoming gaming system. The tech company claimed that Xbox Project Scorpio will be the most powerful gaming system with 6 teraflops of graphical processing units (GPU).
Tech experts claim that the GPU, if implemented properly, could definitely bring the higher level gaming experience with a flawless flow. Microsoft stated that the Xbox Project Scorpio will be compatible with all sorts of Xbox One games, accessories and the console would be able to run true 4K gaming with virtual reality (VR) support.
Recently surfaced reports claim that Microsoft's highly anticipated console will have an internal power supply unit (PSU). The Xbox Scorpio will also have high efficiency video decoding (HEVC) as well as a VP9 codec technology, that decodes 4K streams. The HEVC codec will encode 2160p with 60 FPS video and game digital video recorder streaming.
Nonetheless, the Xbox Project Scorpio is expected to have a price tag a little more than Sony's PS4 Pro. The upcoming device is speculated to cost around £500 or $624, Trusted Review reported. Although the tech titan didn't declare any exact Xbox Project Scorpio release date, but Microsoft claimed that the much awaited gaming system will be unveiled in Holiday 2017.
Game enthusiasts need to wait for a while until the tech company reveals more about the Xbox Project Scorpio. It should be noted that the tech giant is expected to convey some potential Xbox Project Scorpio insights during its upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) event in July 2017.
