Bioware was part of the Boston game convention PAX East 2017, the perfect stage to boost the stock of “Mass Effect: Andromeda”. And while most of the people on hand had different queries on what the new game will have to offer, some couldn’t help but ask why there was no “Mass Effect 4”.

Mac Walters, Creative Director for “Mass Effect: Andromeda” shed more light on why no “Mass Effect 4” came out. The simple answer was that they wanted the trilogy to end and offer the gaming community something new, Attack of the Fan Boy reported. For those who lived to play the three installments of “Mass Effect”, the whole dish made sense.

Apparently, “Mass Effect 3” left players with a big choice which was to shape the future of the Milky Way Galaxy. Had there been a “Mass Effect 4”, there would have been plenty of bases to cover following the Reaper invasion. In short, it would have been never-ending and pick off from what the game series had to offer. In a way, it would have been recurring though all that depends on the game developers.

With “Mass Effect: Andromeda”, Bioware diverts the attention away from the Milky Way and into the Andromeda Galaxy. It signals an entirely new beginning, a reset of sorts that opens up new characters and settings. For those who still can't figure, it was all about moving on to a different chapter and giving gamers a whole new game to try out.

Much of what to expect for “Mass Effect: Andromeda” was seen at the PAX East 2017 event. The new game offering is expected to offer loyalty missions and look into the backstory of a player’s squadmates, Game Spot reported. A glimpse of things to come can be seen in the video below.

“Mass Effect: Andromeda” is slated for release on March 21 with versions for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
