‘Pokemon Go’ Latest News & Update: Niantic CEO Hints At Coming Of Legendary Pocket Monsters This Year
ByWith the recent updates to “Pokemon Go”, most augmented reality players are occupied to capture the 80 2nd generation critters from Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver. This is expected to take a while, potentially long enough for Niantic to work on other improvements for the hit augmented reality game.
As far as the pocket monsters for “Pokemon Go”, it may be premature to ask for more at this point. But when one looks back to last year, there are the Legendary pocket monsters who have yet to emerge. The list includes “Mew”, “Mewtwo”, “Articuno” and “Zapdos” among others, Mobile Syrup reported. So where are these “Pokemon Go” Legendaries which AR players seem to have forgotten?
Niantic CEO John Hanke was thrown the question once again in an interview with Wired. He broadly answers the question by saying that they are in the planning stages of the Legendaries though they will be out this year. The talk quickly shifted to other “Pokemon Go” matters such as trading and the player vs. player battles. Rather than expound on the coming of Legendary pocket monsters, the conversation was somehow diverted into something else.
In all, something is coming though Hanke has once again made it as broad as he can. Discussions tied up to the Legendary “Pokemon Go” is nothing new for the readers who have closely monitored when “MewTwo” or “Articuno” would be coming out. But the better question to ask is whether will they really come out or not.
Niantic will follow a process and priority is on improvements. The Legendary Pokemon issue is something that has taken a backseat despite previous claims of data miners that the codes are in the “Pokemon Go” script. Do take note that the scripts were recently cleaned out, something done to help enhance performance. If the Legendaries to appear, new codes could be used to ensure that the AR game carries on flawlessly.
