Android O reportedly will bring a few smart features but apparently they all sound familiar.
There's not even 50 percent of Android phones get the Nougat update but Google does not back down to unleash the next Android OS version. Android 8 is expected to bring a whole lot of more fun to the devices running the OS version. Here are the leaked features of Android O!
1. Copy less
This feature was the first Android O leak spotted online. The smart copy-pasting feature will enable user to get a pop-up suggestion, according to Android Pit.
This is not exactly a new thing as you can do this on keyboards where typing a certain word will let Google to come up with something you need. It's unclear whether this will be an added feature for Google keyboards or an entirely new thing.
2. Intelligent content
iOS device users are familiar to this. The smart finger gesture is designed to be responsive - allowing user to tap a location in a text message and Google Maps will pop up to show you exactly where it's at, BGR noted.
3. Finger gesture to trigger action
Many believe that the finger gesture will most likely resemble LG's Tap to Wake but the detail of this feature is still scarce.
These features aren't confirmed by Google yet but if rumors are to be believed, Android 8 will be a much more advanced OS version that fans would love. The speculation is now leading to which smartphones that will run Android 8 for the first time this year.
- Pixel 2
Google's second generation phone is the perfect candidate to run Android O, IT Wire said. As a reminder, the first Pixel phone was introduced with Android 7.0 Nougat pre-installed although LG G6 managed to came out first with the firmware version.
- Nokia P1
There's been rumor that Nokia could be crafting the next Nexus device. Nokia P1 (or Nokia 8) will be launched later this year, according to PC Advisor. The leaked specs suggest that Nokia 8 has a lot of things in common with a Nexus smartphone. And just like LG G6, Nokia could be a non-Pixel phone that run Android 8 out of the box.
