"The Flash" season 3, episode 13 shows Grodd in Harry's body. Other details for "Attack on Gorilla City" has also been revealed by the series' showrunner Aaron Helbing.
'The Flash' Season 3, 'Attack On Gorilla City' Spoiler: Additional Details Revealed Before The Airing
According to FanSided, in the comic book series, Grodd is considered as one of the most recognizable enemies of The Flash. Over the course of his several appearances in the story, Team Flash was able to find out how to defeat Grodd.
However, the aforementioned source noted that it seems like their decision becomes an error. The super gorilla was sent away to Earth-2, but instead of quietly living in the place, Grodd forms an army of his own which fans will see in episode 13 of "The Flash".
In the episode promo for "Attack on Gorilla City", Jesse Quick (Violette Bione) arrives from her world and tells Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) that Grodd (voiced by David Sobolov) has her father (Tom Cavanagh). Now, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes), Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) and Julian Albert (Tom Felton) goes to Earth-2 to save Harry Wells.
Not long after they arrive in the place, Grodd appears and captures them after Flash tells his team "it's a trap". Adding on, the preview of "The Flash" season 3, episode 13 also shows Grodd in Harry's body. The latter announces to Team Flash that they are going to be exiled in the arena.
Meanwhile, as per Jesse's description of Gorilla City, "there are sentients highly intelligent evolved gorillas in Earth-2 and they all live in a city deep in the heart of Africa".
Aaron Helbing Talks 'Attack on Gorilla City'
In "The Flash | Inside: Attack on Gorilla City | The CW", Helbing reveals information about the episode airing tonight. The showrunner briefs what is in store for Team Flash in the Gorilla City.
"Her [Jesse] father Harry Wells went to Gorilla City and is missing in action," says Helbing. "So she's hoping that the team can come with her and help save her father."
However, upon their arrival Grodd captures them immediately and puts them in a Gorilla City cells "unable to escape, Grodd's dampening their powers".
"We get to do a Flash, Gladiator fight in an arena full of screaming gorillas," says Helbing as he adds, "it might be the greatest thing [speedster vs super gorilla] I've ever seen on television."
"The Flash" season 3, episode 13 airs on Feb 21.
