"The Flash" movie is still far from being released. The film has been delayed and moved to another premiere date. Here is what we know so far about the film.

'The Flash' Movie - Who Could Be Its New Director?

Warner Bros. seems to have been having a very difficult time finding the right director for "The Flash" movie. The project already tapped its director before; first Seth Grahame-Smith and second Rick Famuyiwa.

According to Forbes, with the directors leaving "The Flash" movie mostly because of "creative differences", it was already obvious by November that its original release date of March 2018 will not happen at all. Until now, Warner Bros. is still in searching for the right guy to fill in the director's chair.

Meanwhile, though the one helming "The Flash" movie is still in question, the site noted that maybe Guy Ritchie could be a good choice. This is after Warner Bros. tapped Joby Harold as the movie's writer. The two already team up for the production house' upcoming project "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword", with Ritchie as its director and Harold as its writer.

'The Flash' Movie To Feature A New Storyline?

Based on Variety, Harold will pen "The Flash" movie. This news comes after a report saying that the screenwriter was assigned to do a page-one rewrite of the movie script.

Famuyiwa and Grahame-Smith were the first ones who writes the first drafts for "The Flash" movie, however, as per the above-mentioned reason, both directors departed the project. Now, there have been a lot of question whether the plot will change or will it remain to its original plan.

The same source, Forbes, noted that there are things that Harold could change in "The Flash" movie. One is the Cyborg's role in the story. His character can be written out of the plot or maybe become as a supporting cast. Another one is the movie's possible tie up to "Teen Titans".

Meanwhile, there are reports that hints "The Flash" movie might feature not-so-new setting. Remember "Suicide Squad" character, Slipknot? A Redditor reportedly posted a screenshot of the character's criminal record which says "Weiss was first arrested in 2007, having moved from Alabama to Keystone City to pursue his criminal ambitions". This proves that the place does exist.

Since The CW already airing Grant Gustin's "The Flash", it will be a good choice for Harold to separate the Ezra Miller's "The Flash" movie to the TV series and shift the settings to Iris West's home, which is in Keystone.

On the other hand, as of writing, what is known so far is "The Flash" movie is slated for a 2019 release.
