"Toy Story 4" is on its way to gracing the big screen. Though it was delayed again, the cast and crew have their own way to spoil and give fans a dose of Toy Story fever.
'Toy Story' Compilation: What We Know So Far
Ever since Pixar announced Woody (Tom Hanks) and Buzz Lightyear's (Tim Allen) comeback, fans of the film franchise started digging information about the fourth installment. However, though there are updates about it, the production is still keeping other details about it.
As of writing, it is said that the upcoming show will be a love story between Woody and Bo Beep. The porcelain figurine suddenly disappeared in between "Toy Story 2" and "Toy Story 3". Some say she was lost or has been handed to someone else or maybe was left to Andy's home. However, the majority of these fan theories claim that Little Bo Beep was purchased during the garage sale in part 3.
As expected, none of these speculations are officially confirmed. What is known so far is in "Toy Story 4", Woody together with Buzz and the gang, are in the hunt for Bo Beep.
Meanwhile, when it comes to the actual plot of the story, Jim Morris revealed in his previous interview with Disney Latinos (via Slashfilm) that the upcoming film is definitely not a continuation of "Toy Story 3". This is a new journey for the toys.
Though it will surely touch few events from part 3, the story will eventually evolve into a love story. The focus will be more on the toys and not about the interaction between children and the characters.
"It will be a romantic comedy," says Morris.
Adding on, as for the fans who still cringing to see Andy or any reunion that tackles the first three films, this is not the movie for that. Morris noted that the third installment is the perfect way to end that particular part of the story arc.
"Toy Story 4" is a different story, Morris insisted before adding that he still not sure whether the third part will have a continuation or not.
"We don't start a project with that in mind," Morris said.
On the other hand, when it comes to the cast, what is know so far is Tom Hanks will reprise his role as Woody. He will be joined the other former cast and a new addition, Patricia Arquette as a voice to a new character.
'Toy Story 4' Release Delayed Again
Based on Variety's report, as of today, the latest premiere date for "Toy Story 4" is moved for the third time. Instead of having a June 2017 and 2018 release, the movie is now set to launch on June 21, 2019.
