Apple fans are looking forward to the much-awaited Apple Watch 3, which the tech giant is expected to roll out the device this year. Tech enthusiasts are now speculating about the possible Apple Watch 3 features.

Interestingly, several patents filed by Apple Inc. over the past couple of years have now started to surface. Wherein, a number of patents provide some hints on the possible features that will come along with the third generation Apple Watch, Apple Watch 3. Although some patent will not be making its way into any production model very soon, but others seem to be the possible features of the Apple Watch 3.

According to 9 to 5 Mac, the most interesting patents is a strap design that will essentially act as the Apple Watch 3 extra battery pack. The patent, which was filed in 2015, illustrated an Apple Watch 3 band embedded with a battery. The battery appears to utilize the space occupied by the band which enable the Apple Watch 3 to run significantly longer without charging.

In spite of that, if the upcoming Apple device gets a longer battery life, the Apple Watch 3 will be more capable of supporting many more features. The Apple Watch 3 is anticipated to add more health tracking options, such as heart-rate, sleep and a lot more.

Furthermore, the Apple Watch 3 is expected to resemble the current Series 2 watches, with the Nike+, Ceramic and Hermes variants to be alternative options for tech enthusiasts. There are also rumors that the Apple Watch 3 will come in different straps, a circular design, as well as a new FaceTime camera, Mac World reported.

That being the case, the Cupertino based tech company has not confirmed any of the speculations and rumors surrounding the Apple Watch 3, and there is no official announcement regarding the release date of the gadget.
