The last iPad Mini rolled out in 2015 and Apple Inc. has yet to launch its successor. Nearly two years after the release of Apple's iPad Mini 4, rumor has it that the Cupertino based tech monster is prepping to launch the iPad Mini 5.

A possible iPad Mini 5 is speculated to be gearing up for a March release. The iPad Mini 5 is widely believed to sport the moniker iPad Pro Mini.

There are also leaks that suggest the iPad Mini 5 or the iPad Pro Mini will be lighter and thinner compared to the iPad Mini 4. The iPad Mini 5 is said to be almost 1mm thinner than iPad Mini 4, which makes iPad Mini 5 or the iPad Pro Mini almost 5mm thick.

The processing memory of the iPad Mini 5 is expected to be 3GB. The device will come in 3 storage options, such as 32GB, 64GB as well as 128GB, Neuro Gadget reported.

Moreover, the upcoming iPad Mini 5 or the iPad Pro Mini will be powered by either an A9 or the quad-core SoC, A10 processor. Tech fans can also expect the upcoming tablet to pack an M9 co-processor.

Nevertheless, Apple's forthcoming tablet is said to come along with a 7.9-inch Retina display, according to The Marshall Town. In spite of that, there are speculations about the iPad Mini 5 screen sizes. An analyst with KGI Securities Ming-Chi Kuo, made it known that the highly anticipated tablet may roll out in 3 different sizes, a 9.7-inch, 10.5-inch as well as a 12.9-inch.

That being the case, iPad Mini 5's camera is not expected to receive major upgrades. The tech giant may just stick to the 8MP back camera and 1.2MP front shooter. The tablet is said to have a smaller battery, but the usage and accessibility of the device will not be affected by the battery size.
