Xbox head Phil Spencer vouched that there will be more Xbox One exclusive game in 2017 compared last year. In response to a fan's question on Twitter, the Xbox boss responded with the optimistic answer that many gaming fans can expect new and exciting games for this year.

The Xbox boss tweeted that he thinks Xbox will have a good year in 2017, and the platform is slated to have more first-party games with greater diversity than in 2016. Also, Spencer appeared to hint a new IP, nonetheless, the Xbox boss contradicts his statement and claiming that he was referring to Microsoft Studios' upcoming action-adventure game, "Sea of Thieves," according to Game Spot.

The Xbox One exclusives in 2016 included "ReCore," "Quantum Break," "Superhot" and the third-person shooter game "Gears of War 4." Nevertheless, among the exclusive games to be on Xbox One in 2017 are the "Sea of Thieves," "State of Decay 2," "Cuphead," and the upcoming open world action-adventure game "Crackdown 3."

On the other hand, some game enthusiasts are concerned that the Xbox Project Scorpio would make the original Xbox console obsolete. Nonetheless, when the Xbox boss Spencer was asked by a gaming fan if the Xbox Project Scorpio will run older Xbox One games, Spencer replied confidently that the upcoming gaming system will perform fine. Spencer also made it known that the Xbox Project Scorpio will be able to play all the games on Xbox 360 which are currently offered in Microsoft's Backward Compatibility program, Express reported.

The Xbox Project Scorpio is slated to roll out later this year, and Microsoft will most probably utilize the E3 2017 event to fully unveil the gaming system. In spite of that, the Xbox Project Scorpio is capable of rendering games in native 4K resolution.
