Android Nougat update is making ZTE Axon 7, Daydream-ready
The affordable handset from ZTE just received a firmware update and now it is not only able to use the multi-window feature, it's now compatible with Google Daydream VR, as reported by Droid-Life.
With Android Nougat update on ZTE Axon 7, it becomes the cheapest handset to support Daydream. With a price under $500, it packs a high-end set of hardware from Snapdragon 820 to a huge 4 gigs of RAM.
Google Pixel and Nexus phones that receive Android 7.1.1 Nougat update
Aside from the security patches, Google will be releasing Android 7.1.1 Nougat to a list of Nexus handsets starting Feb. 10. Nexus Player, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P and Pixel C will join Google Pixel and Pixel XL to receive the latest software update via OTA.
Android Nougat update for Moto Z Series in US and India
US consumers who own the unlocked version of Moto Z Play will be able to update their devices. As for now, a few of Moto Z units are spotted to run Android 7.0 Nougat, according to Android Central. As for Verizon carrier, the update is expected sometime in March.
Moto Z Play India has been confirmed to receive the Nougat update since Feb. 6. Apparently, a few of Motorola handsets in Germany experience a delay in getting the update, as confirmed by the official representative. However, this will not be a long wait since Android Nougat has begun to roll out in other regions.
