The hype of Redmi Note 4 isn't over yet but Xiaomi already plans to release another awesome smartphone, Redmi Pro 2.

Redmi Pro 2 is said to feature a huge battery 4,500 mAh and massive RAM of 6 GB. This reminds us of Asus top-tier flagship, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe.

The battery has also received a huge gain from its original series with 4,050 mAh. Xiaomi fans are interested in finding out whether the dual camera will come into fruition. However, the latest report has learned that Xiaomi will only use a single camera module packing 12 MP sensor from Sony, GSM Arena wrote.

It's been reported that Redmi Pro 2 will be using China-built OLED panel. This would bring a lot of improvement to the smartphone's display. Not only that OLED panel consumes less power, it will have a fantastic picture quality.

Redmi Pro 2's 6GB model will be sold as a high-end edition whereas the standard model will sport 4 gigs of RAM. The price starts from around $230 to $260.

Xiaomi is expected to equip Redmi Pro 2 with Android Nougat and MIUI 8, according to Softpedia. There is no further detail on the processor chipset but it is speculated that Xiaomi could use a Qualcomm's SoC instead of MediaTek.

Judging from the leaked image, it is plausible for Redmi Note Pro 2 to use a Snapdragon 660 series under the hood. As a comparison, the first Pro series uses a MeditaTek SoC and if the rumor is to be believed, then the next-gen Redmi Pro will be a much more powerful device than its predecessor.

Don't expect the device to appear at MWC 2017 because Xiaomi is skipping the biggest trade show this year. A few reports hint at a March release date instead.
