Asus introduced Zenfone 3s Max that flaunts a massive battery but how about its overall performance?

Zenfone 3s Max Design

Asus shrinks the 3s Max body into 5.2-inch instead of 5.5-inch like Zenfone Max. It is more compact and sleek with all-metal body. There's nothing new with the build since Zenfone 3 family all sporting the same design but it looks premium and solid.

Zenfone 3s Max Specifications

The smartphone packs 282 ppi pixel density and runs on Android Nougat out of the box. The display is sharp and it's got excellent viewing angles, too.

The fingerprint sensor is mounted at the bottom front and the 3GB of RAM is paired with 64 GB of native storage. Asus could equip it with Snapdragon 625 but instead, it goes with MediaTek MT 6750 chipset, GSM Arena reported.

The optics are average, packing 13 MP rear-camera with dual LED Flash and autofocus; and 8 MP selfie camera, according to News18. Asus has moved the speaker to the front and this should give a better audio experience to users.

Zenfone 3s Max offers massive battery of 5000 mAh capacity but sadly, it's without fast-charging feature even when the phone can function as a power bank.

Zenfone 3s Max is suitable for heavy users who aren't too concern about the hardware setups. The innards are average and but ZenUI 3.0 seems to bring a cleaner appearance to the phone with less bloatware.

Zenfone 3s Max Competitors

Until Zenfone 3s Max price is revealed, the phone currently has two rivals with similar specs.

Xiaomi just launched Redmi Note 4 which is lauded for the advanced innards. Lenovo P2 is a direct rival since both have the same huge battery capacity.
