Sony is making it easier for Xperia X smartphone users to read content at night. The tech giant is launching a new Concept update on its Experimental track, which previously included Android 7.1.1 Nougat to the Xperia X. The new update comes along with the Night Light option to the handset's display settings.

The Sony Xperia X owners will get an updated Home launcher as well as the Xperia Transfer Mobile app. Perhaps, the most important new feature of the Sony Xperia X is the Night Light option.

Wherein the feature will filter blue light from the screen when activated through Settings. This becomes a pretty standard feature on the handsets these days, as blue light at night is said to mess with a person's sleep cycle. Hence, using the Night Light option at night should make a person fall asleep easier.

The update also brings bug fixes for the smartphone's noise cancelling, fingerprint test features, as well as improvements in network handling. The Night Light features can be turned on and off manually or even automatically at sunrise and sunset, according to Android Authority.

After applying the new update, the Sony Xperia X users will be running build N4F26I9. The update is still based on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

The new Sony Xperia X update comes less than a month after the last one, which comes along with the Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The latest release isn't as important, nevertheless it does contain Google's January security patches, Xperia Blog reported.

Nonetheless, the Concept for Android program of Sony is still going strong on the Xperia X smartphone. Those who are utilizing the stock-ish experience can look forward to a new update, that is currently rolling out for tech fans who opted for the Experimental track when switching to the Concept builds.
