HTC 11 Release Date, News: No HTC 11 Coming This 2017, But HTC Will Release Six To Seven Devices [VIDEO]
ByHTC is planning to launch several smartphones this year, but the HTC 11 smartphone will not be one of these introductions. It seems like a different smartphone will be HTC's flagship device.
HTC president of Smartphone and Connected Devices Chialin Chang, made it known in an interview that no device slated for this year will be called the HTC 11. Chang noted that the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer is planning to release about six or seven devices, which includes the earlier announced HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play, Engadget reported.
Even though HTC 11 smartphone will not be launched this year, the tech company could still introduce a 2017 flagship device. Wherein, the device is expected to come along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. Nevertheless, it has been said that HTC is following up its HTC 10 smartphone release with the HTC 11 this year. The smartphone was said to be the most premium offering from the tech giant for this year, according to Trusted Reviews.
In spite of that, it looks like the focus of the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer will be on the HTC U Ultra Play and the HTC U Ultra smartphones. The HTC U Ultra is said to be the flagship offering of the tech company and the device will be sold for a retail price of $750.
The HTC U Ultra smartphone is expected to be packed with a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, with the option to expand with the microSD slot. The handset is also thought to come along with a powerful 12MP main camera and a 5.7-inch screen, Forbes reported.
Meanwhile, the HTC U Play smartphone will roll out with a 5.2-inch display, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The gadget is set to be powered by the Android 7.0 Nougat, to ensure that the apps will run smoothly.
