Xbox One has been outselling Sony's console for four months, but the PlayStation 4 is now back on top. The market research company The NPD Group claimed that the PS4 was the best-selling gaming system in the United States in Nov. 2016.

As Sony, NPD and Microsoft all declined to offer exact sales number, Sony Interactive Entertainment got a boost of their sales from the release of the PlayStation 4 Pro, the 4K-capable upgrade console that was released on November 10. This is the first time since June that PlayStation 4 outsold Microsoft's Xbox One, according to Venture Beat.

In spite of that, Xbox marketing boss Mike Nichols provided a statement where he confirmed that game enthusiasts have a strong hunger for gaming systems. Nichols stated that they have seen strong momentum for Xbox One console since announcing the new Xbox One S at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in June.

Nichols also said that they saw record engagement among Xbox One owner on Xbox Live, as fans enjoyed the latest video games and great deals. The total Xbox players online on Nov. 27 was up by 40 percent compared to the previous year.

On the other hand, the third game led by Fumito Ueda, "The Last Guardian," has taken nine years before the game was finally completed. But, there are reports that claim the action-adventure video game is having some issues on both the standard PS4 and PS4 Pro, WCCF Tech reported.

"The Last Guardian" is reported to run differently on PS4 Pro depending on whether or not the gamer uses a 4K UHD TV. In fact, there is no in-game setting for resolution preferences, and the PlayStation 4 Pro players would have to manipulate manually at the OS level. On the standard PlayStation 4, the framerate of the video game drops to 20fps wandering around regular areas.
