Recent "Vikings" Season 4B trailer teases fans into the idea of having Ivar the Boneless as the new king of Kattegat.

The second part of the episode will highlight the conflict between Ragnar Lothbrok and Bjorn Ironside as the former makes his return to his former kingdom. The sequel will also feature the struggles of Queen Aslaug's son in episode 11, titled "The Outsider."

Previously, it was revealed that Ragnar's plan of reclaiming his throne and his kingdom will not be easy upon finding that his former allies have turned their backs on him and formed coalitions of their own. In his quest, he acknowledged the fact that he needed to have his son to have the throne in his stead.

In an interview, Alex Hogh Anderson who plays Ivar the Boneless said that fans should expect that his character will go through a lot of pain and self-hate due to his loneliness and physical disability. The actor also hinted that the Vikings will see him as worthless, but that is what will help him get stronger.

The show's creator, Michael Hirst, also hinted that Ivar will be a formidable character in the story, and that he will be a great strategist and his fight will be in his mind.

Meanwhile, Ragnar and Bjorn will also have a conflict in the story. According to Alexander Ludwig, Bjorn would like to surpass his father and do something greater than he did. In fact, he said that he will refuse to heed his father pleas of conniving with him into taking back the kingdom. Bjorn will accordingly go his own way because that is what he feels he is fated to do.

However, even if Ludwig hinted that Bjorn will refuse to join his father in his quest, it is still a mystery as to who between the two siblings will be their father's ally, as mentioned in the official synopsis of the episode.
