The gang is back. The show that everybody's been talking about, ever since its debut on Netflix, just dropped some major teasers confirming that season 2 is definitely heading our way.

The announcement was first made on Facebook with a post that said "The adventure continues" accompanied by a brief video that flashed the nine terms: "Madmax", "The Boy Who Came To Life", "The Pumpkin Patch", "The Palace", "The Storm", "The Pollywog", "The Secret Cabin", "The Brain" and "The Lost Brother." It was then assumed that they were likely the episode titles, with creators/showrunners The Duffer brothers later confirming it to be true.

Furthermore, matching with the show's strange and cryptic theme, "Stranger Things" Twitter account posted an upside down image of the cast alongside with an upside down caption "Back in production, see you next year. #strangerthings." Entertainment Weekly reported.

It is said that season 2 will pick up a year after the events of the first season in order for the story plot to keep up and fit it with the actors' actual growth and appearance.

Who will be back?

Actress Millie Bobby Brown who portrays Eleven-a mystery girl who has the powers of both telepathy and telekinesis-is confirmed to be coming back for the second season.

So fret not people, she's alive.

Who's not coming back?

Due to the character's unfortunate demise, Barb won't be coming back. She won't be forgotten, and she'll get her justice.

Are there new characters?

It was revealed that there will be an addition to the cast, with young actress Sadie Sink joining as Max-a tough and confident young girl with a complicated history, and there's "Power Rangers" actor Dacre Montgomery as Billy-Max's older step-brother who has a violent and unpredictable nature, Hollywood Reporter reported.

TThe "Lord of the Rings" actor Sean Astin and Danish actress Linnea Berthelsen join the Netflix series. Aside from the two aforementioned characters, there will be also a third newbie who will play as Roman-a character who suffered a great loss and is bent on revenge.
