With all the nuances and mysteries happening in the ploy of HBO's "Westworld," its audiences started to come up with speculations. The most popular one is the possibility that there are three different time periods to the story.

There a lot of occurrences in "Westworld" that doesn't make sense, but the three time period theory may shed a light on these mysteries, Nerdist reported. Showrunner Jonathan Nolan and JJ Abrams are known for their story telling style, which is filled with mind bending twists.

Before the premier of the show, the official Westworld Twitter account tweeted that even the logos should be given a deeper look to find clues, Vanity Fair reported. The logo at the park is not the same with the one in the present timeline, which can make the audience think that William's story could have been three decades ago. Also, Dr. Ford's Flashback and the words from the Man in Black somehow give hints that the park is 35-years-old.

There are hints of the three time period theories through the behavioral patterns of the characters and the inconsistencies in the story. One concrete example is how a good character like William turn into someone as evil as the Man in Black. William is changing and Dolores seems to be going crazy with all the different memories from various time periods.

Bernard is another example of the possible three time periods. He has a mystery behind him that may give out big reveals in the future, especially with what happened with his son, the connection with his wife, and the mistakes committed by Dolores.

There was one interaction with Dolores were he wears something dark, but he was never seen with those clothes again in the show. This may prove that Bernard and Dolores' interaction may have happened in different time periods.
