Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date, Specs, News: Galaxy S8 Has No 4K Screen, But Will Launch AI Assistant Service [VIDEO]
ByThe latest rumor to come to Samsung Galaxy S8 is that the upcoming Samsung flagship won't have a 4K screen. Even so, the Galaxy S8 will come along with a physical button for the service of the new digital AI assistant.
The South Korean tech giant is likely to carry on the QHD resolution of the current Galaxy S7 for the reason that it makes much more sense for both performance and battery life. The only real benefit of a 4K screen in Galaxy S8 is virtual reality (VR) quality, but it seems the smartphone's GPU isn't ready for 4K VR, according to GSM Arena.
Anyway, the tech monster considers adding up a dedicated button for the service to the Galaxy S8. The latest internal prototypes of the premium Galaxy S8 smartphone include a button on the side edge of the handset that would be used to launch a more effective virtual assistant. However, the prototypes of the technology aren't final and subject to change, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Samsung's AI assistant will be incorporated not only into Galaxy handsets, but also in the tech giant's wearables and home appliances. The South Korean tech giant hasn't pitched in any details on what type of features its new assistant will offer, in spite of that, the company claims that it will be recognized significantly from their competitors, and will be in service with a range of third-party services, according to Reuters.
Samsung executive VP, Rhee Injong, stated that developers can upload and link services to their agent. The more services that get attached to the AI assistant, the smarter it will get. The AI assistant will learn more new services and can provide developers to end-users with ease.
That being said, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is a hot topic on the web, as the device is expected to unveil on Feb. 26 as one of the highlights of the annual event, the Mobile World Congress 2017.
