iPad Mini 5 Release Date, Specs, Update: Device Rolls Out With A9X Chipset In 2017; To Be Released Alongside iPad Pro 2 [VIDEO]
BySince the iPad Mini 5 was absent from Apple's October event, rumor has it that the most talked about device packed with A9X Chipset is likely to hit the market around the beginning of 2017, along with the iPad Pro 2.
The upcoming iPad Mini 5 is said to be a downgrade version of an iPad Pro, in which, the mini tablet computer will serve as an entry-level version for the iPad Pro 2 lineup. The speculated specs include a good 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage.
Since the Cupertino based tech giant's design language is changing every year, Apple Inc. is said to be cutting a few millimeters off the iPad Mini, making the gadget more streamlined and lighter compared to the iPad Mini 4. However, with almost every detail of the iPad Mini 5 still being under wraps, it is very hard to say exactly what the tech company will do, PC Advisor has learned.
Furthermore, since the iPad Mini 5 will be noticeably thinner, the gadget shall be housed in a 7000-series aluminum chassis - the same technology used for iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. iPad Mini 5's thinner design shall favor the smaller battery packs, but its performance is expected to compete with its predecessors.
The forthcoming iPad Mini 5 will also cater to the working individuals, wherein it will come along with a Smart Connector that links to a keyboard panel. The iPad mini 5 is also speculated to feature a 3D Touch pressure-sensitive screen technology, according to Macworld.
In addition, the iPad Mini 5 and iPad Pro 2 will most likely sport an 8MP primary shooter and a 1.2MP front facing camera. Anyway, tech fans speculated that the Cupertino-based tech company will release the iPad Mini 5 or iPad Pro Mini at its 2017 March event.
