Microsoft Surface Phones Features

The long standing rumors that surrounded the Microsoft Surface Phones might be put to rest as the Corporate Vice President of Microsoft has revealed that the company has been working on the phone's prototype, according to Wired.

Some of the rumored specs of the phones include a 5.5-inch Quad-AMOLED display and 4GB of RAM coupled with 64GB and 128GB expandable internal storage. In addition, the phone is also rumored to be powered by 1 64-bit Intel processor, high-end camera specs with 21 megapixel for the rear and 8 megapixel for the front, support for USB-C port and Surface Pen.

Furthermore, Surface Phones are also expected to feature a fingerprint sensor, compass and barometer. The phones are also believed to run the latest version of Windows 10 mobile operating system.

Microsoft Surface Phones Release Date

Microsoft Surface Phones were expected to debut during the Microsoft event last Oct. 26; however, according to PC Advisor, fans are disappointed because of the phone's no-show scenario. Good thing is that the latest rumors are pointing out to an early release of Surface Phones in 2017, most specifically in the month of January.

Microsoft Surface Book 2 & Surface Pro 5

Another device that is about to be launched next year is the Surface Book 2, which is the successor of the well-received laptop in 2015. The upcoming laptop of the windows-maker company is said to be the closest rival of the 2017 version of Apple MacBook Pro.

Aside from the Surface Book 2, Microsoft is also expected to launch the 2-in-1 PC tablet Surface Pro 5 in 2017 to compete with Apple iPad Pro 2 series. The newly launched Surface Studio is the closest competition of Apple iMac as well.
