"iZombie" Season 3 is rumored to introduce a new love interest for lead character Liv Moore (Rose McIver).
While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, the actress revealed that she was told by the creators of the show that her character's new lover will not be killed off. In season 1, Liv fell in love with her best friend Major (Robert Buckley), but their relationship ended after Liv turned into a zombie. In the upcoming episodes, Liv fell in love with Lowell (Bradley James), but the character was killed off by Blaine (David Anders).
The actres said that she wants Liv and Major to work their issues out. However, she is aware that her character has more important things to do. McIver went on to say that she was told by the creators of the show that Liv will have a new love interest in season 3. and whoever he is won't be killed off.
Meanwhile, "iZombie" executive producer Rob Thomas told TV Line that Liv will definitely have a new love interest who will not die. The male character will serve as the person who will put an end to the curse surrounding Liv's relationships. However, Thomas also confirmed that Liv and the male character's relationship will only be temporary, and the reason for their breakup will also be a central part of season 3.
In other news, there are rumors that Liv's lover will be played by "Hannah Montana" alum Andrew Caldwell. The actor will give life to the character of Harley Jones, a gun-loving, anti-government extremist. He will develop a close relationship with Liv and Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) after bumping into them at the shooting range.
However, Harley is also very vocal about his dislike for zombies, not knowing that Liv is one of them. To make things worse, Harley has been practicing shooting at zombie targets, and he wants to be able to kill at least one of them very soon.
"iZombie" Season 3 will premiere on The CW sometime next year.
