Gadget freaks have been waiting with bated breath for Apple to shed more light on MacBook Air 2016 release date, specs and other details; but much to the dismay of Apple enthusiasts, the Cupertino based tech firm has remained tight-lipped about the much awaited slender-profiled notebook.

That being said, all hope is not yet lost for those waiting to get their hands on the new MacBook Air if rumors hinting that the purported laptop will launch next month, proved to be true.

Rumors are running rampant that the new MacBook Air will be arriving with some radical overhauls in terms of internal specs as compared to its precursor that some industry watchers claim has already been scrapped by the tech firm, according to VineReports.

Apple's recently concluded launch event left quite a few gadget buffs disappointed as aside from the iPhone 7 and Apple Watch 2, the company did not mention any other equally anticipated devices such as the MacBook Air 2016.

Despite several speculations hinting that Apple has canceled the Air product line, many optimistic fans of the ultraportable computer are still hopeful that the company will reconsider its decision and give the aforesaid roister another try.

In case, Apple gives a new MacBook Air its stamp of approval, it is speculated that the device is likely to be slimmed down further in bid to sport a thinner profile, and to facilitate the inclusion of a 5K display, The ChristianTimes reported.

It can be recalled that the recently concluded Apple launch event also unveiled the company's latest iteration of the iOS, in addition to the looming auto-runner gaming app dubbed, "Super Mario Run" that is said to debut during the holidays.

Meanwhile, Apple continues to remain mum regarding when will their next technical event take place; however, some optimistic fans are still hoping that the tech firm will shed more light on the MacBook Air 2016 in near future.
