LeEco, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has been aggressively promoting their upcoming LeEco flagship devices. The Le Pro 2 was just launched in April 2016 and the le Pro 3 was supposed to be released in six months time after the first release. However, images of the device have been found on the internet ahead of launch.
While a few leaks describing the specs of the LeEco phone have been teased by the Chinese company, there has never been a live image of the device just yet. However, a Chinese actor recently got his hands on one of the LeEco Le Pro 3 smartphones and decided to share images on a social media platform, Weibo, which is the Chinese equivalent of Twitter, GSM Arena reported.
These kinds of leaks should normally be taken with a grain of salt, However, this case is different. The official account on Weibo of the LeEco company has reblogged the actor's post which then confirms that it was, in fact, the LeEco Le Pro 3 smartphone device.
There were two images posted on Weibo. One of which shows the Le Pro 3 lying upside down on the table showing its back. The second image shows the actor holding the phone. The question of its authenticity was then answered by the company by re-blogging the actor's post while adding that the phone will be launched at an event on September 21, according to Android Headlines.
The LeEco Le Pro 3 will have two variants as teased earlier by the company. One variant will be having a 5.5-inch full HD screen while the other will have a 5.7-inch HD-quality screen. The 5.5-inch variant will have a 1920 x 1080 resolution and features a 16 MP rear camera with 8 MP camera up front. On the other hand, the 5.7-inch variant will have 2560 x 1440 screen resolution with 13 MP rear camera and a powerful 16 MP front camera. Additionally, both devices will sport the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chip.
