iPad Air 3 Release Date Pushed Back To 2017; Can Galaxy Tab S3 Give The New iPad A Run For Its Money?
ByLooks like a bad news for those waiting with bated breath for the next iPad tablet computer as recently surfaced reports suggest that Apple will launch its much-awaited iPad Air 3 in March 2017 instead of in November this year.
The delay in the launch of the aforementioned Apple device is due to the iPad Pro 9.7-inch tablet. Rumors mills have been swirling speculations hinting that the Cupertino-based tech firm is currently focusing on the launch of the next version of the iPad Pro tab dubbed as iPad Pro 12.9, rather than the iPad Air 3.
The impending iPad Air tablet is likely to make an appearance next year and is expected to be loaded with a slew of specifications identical to that of the iPad Pro 9.7, MacWorld UK reported.
iPad Air 3: Specs & Features
The Apple tablet is rumored to pack an aluminium chassis and a sleeker structure. Moreover, the iPad Air 3 is said to be powered by the upcoming A10 processor with force-touch True Tone display just like the Apple iPad Pro 9.7. In addition, the iPad Air 3 is expected to hit the store shelves in the variants of 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB.
Rumors are rife about the forthcoming tablet suggesting that it will run on the iOS 10 that offers enhanced user interface. Other rumors indicate that the Apple iPad Air 3 will come with the stereo speakers for enhanced audio quality.
iPad Air 3: Price
The iPad Air 3 will be up for grabs for $599. However, the price could drop significantly if the company decides to get rid of the iPad Pro 9.7's True Tone display on the upcoming tablet. If this happens, the iPad Air 3 would carry a price tag of $400.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Vs. Apple iPad Air 3
Meanwhile, recent reports doing rounds indicate that Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is likely to give iPad Air 3 a tough competition. The Samsung device is slated to debut today, September 2 during the annual IFA event in Germany. The South Korean tech firm will launch an 8-inch variant of the Galaxy Tab 3 and a bigger 9.7-inch version.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is rumored to pack a faster processor than its precursor. The device will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, SlashGear reported.
The 8-inch variant will reportedly pack a robust 4000 mAh battery, and 32 GB of Internal storage. The 9.7-inch version, on the other hand, will come with a 5870 mAh battery and 64 GB of internal memory. Both the devices will sport a 2-megapixel front snapper and an 8-megapixel rear camera.
